After coming back from the Sundance Film Festival, we received some tragic news about our legendary saxophonist, Zane Musa. While on tour with Latin Jazz trumpeter, Arturo Sandoval, Zane was involved in an incident at the airport and he unfortunately, passed away on Monday, February 2nd, 2015. This was a tremendous loss to everyone in the band and of course, everyone who knew Zane. We would like everyone to keep Zane’s family and us all in the band in your thoughts and prayers during this time. This hasn’t been easy for anyone and each day, we hope to get stronger to get through such a painful and tragic loss for the band as well as his family. We all loved Zane very much and admired him so deeply for his artistic and musical talents which were unprecedented. I will especially miss seeing Zane to my left during every performance. Being blown away by his solos every night is something that I will forever miss and be sad about. Zane – we love you and hope you teach God how to play the saxophone. You were one in a billion! Thank you for blessing us with your talents.
